A cultural European itinerary in Provence

Based on a major historical fact, the routes In the Footsteps of the Huguenots and the Waldensians (Sur les Pas des Huguenots et des Vaudois) bear witness to the exile of the Huguenots and the Waldensians from France and the Italian Piedmont to Switzerland and Germany.
In the Footsteps of the Huguenots and the Waldensians is an international cooperation project. It brings together German, French, Italian and Swiss partners. In each country, the national structures of In the Footsteps of the Huguenots and the Waldensians trail integrate local partners: local authorities, regional natural parks, museums, associations, tourist operators and individuals thus participate, through their commitment, to the quality and the realisation of the trail.
As the project leader in Vaucluse, the Association d'Etudes Vaudoises et Historiques du Luberon (AEVHL) is responsible for operating the junction of the Luberon part to the existing route of the "Chemin des Huguenots3 or "Huguenots Trail" in collaboration with partners from the Drôme region and make it a route associated with the long hiking trail GR®965.
